The recent re-drawing of the South Dublin County Council Electoral boundaries has had the effect of carving the constituency in two.
The very heart of the village – St. Colmcilles Church, National School and Knocklyon Shopping Centre – have been moved to the Templeogue/Terenure Ward away from our community and neighbours and in with the people of Clondalkin and Ballymount.
Even one of the jewels of the nation’s sporting crown – Ballyboden St. Endas – is now removed from our community constituency.
On May 23rd you will be asked to choose your County Councillors for South Dublin County Council in the local elections. And given how the government has behaved these past few years with wanton waste and institutional cronyism they are terrified that you are going to punish them.
Don’t be silenced – vote for me Independent Candidate Deirdre O’Donovan.
I, along with my neighbours in Knocklyon Woods, Coolamber, Cremorne & Landsdowne Park have been kicked out of my community constituency.
You may not be given the option to vote for me – your local Representative – but you can assist with the campaign by asking friends and family to vote for me or by donating your time to this community cause.
